About Tayla

I’m Tayla! I’m a Careers Consultant specialising in helping HSEQ professionals within the Telecoms and Utilities sectors to find their next exciting career move. I’m a chatty person and thrive when speaking and meeting with my clients and candidates to build relationships and fully understand their needs – even if it’s just in the world of Microsoft Teams! I joined Shirley Parsons when I was just 17, working within many business areas and have enjoyed it so much I am still here 9 years later! I’ve been involved in office relocations, diversity and inclusion initiatives, internal competitions and have planned plenty of Christmas Parties... I perhaps enjoyed them a bit too much as well.

Out of hours, you’ll find me indulging in Italian food (pasta especially) and catching up with friends over a movie or a few glasses of wine. I can’t wait to continue travelling the world and ticking more places off my bucket list – I’m still dreaming of my trip to Vietnam from last year! I’m passionate about people looking after themselves and will always make time for some self-care. I’m one of those strange people that love their own company!

One last thing: if you put milk in first when making a cup of tea, I’d love 5 minutes of your time to convince you how wrong you are.

"A truly caring and understanding professional.

Tayla approached me via linked in, i wasn’t initially interested in moving employers but Tayla kept up with keeping me in the loop whenever information came around. She shared a fantastic opportunity with me that was too good to turn down. But the part that made me feel confident with Tayla was that i was currently undergoing a hard and difficult bereavement. I was lost and not thinking 100% but Tayla managed to just talk to me and ensure i was doing ok. She ensured that there was transparency with me and the employer so that everyone was on the same page. As the interviews progressed i was offered some excellent advice and we discussed a few issues that i had.

In the end i accepted the job because of how my professional relationship developed with Tayla and what Tayla was able to do to suit me and my current situation with my new employer.

I am now happier and more confident than i have ever been in my professional life and it all started with Tayla, once again thank you for bringing your fantastic personality and caring nature to me who was in desperate need of something positive in the world." - Steven Shand, SHE Advisor
