About Sally

​My name’s Sally and I’m the HR Business Partner for Shirley Parsons North America. I’ve worked for Shirley Parsons since 2017, focusing primarily on talent acquisition, career planning and operational support for new business ventures.

I have over 10 years’ experience in Human Resources and Internal Recruitment, working with organizations in the legal and professional services sectors. I love working with people and am passionate about helping individuals achieve their career ambitions. I’ve been involved in various projects over the years including managing internal recruitment, developing new operations processes, designing career plans and much more.

As well as achieving my career ambitions, I love to travel and spend quality time with family and friends. Although I’m originally from North Carolina, I’ve become an avid New England Patriots and Boston Bruins fan since moving to Massachusetts in 2006 (much to the dismay of my family and friends back home)!

Health and Safety Consultant Bristol Permanent £38,000 to £45,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance and benefitsShirley Parsons have exclusively partnered with an established consultancy who have an opening for a Health and Safety Consultant. The post holder will be responsible for offering and providing Health and Safety services to mainly SME businesses within a region. This opportunity is field based and will suit candidates residing in and around Bristol, Bath, or Cardiff, with the ability to commit to regional travel to client sites. The Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for: Delivering Health and Safety services to clients including Fire/Risk Assessments, auditing, reporting, and training.Acting as the Competent Person on behalf of the company for your client portfolio.Ensuring all client matters are progressed smoothly and respond to telephone/email queries in a timely fashion.Generating and communicating ideas for improvement in service to the Regional Manager. The ideal Health and Safety Consultant requires: Previous multi-sector or Consultancy experience in a Health and Safety positon.Relevant Level 6 Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or degree.TechIOSH, GradIOSH or CMIOSH membership (or be eligible to join).Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to establish excellent working relationships with clients. HSE Manager Location: Rotterdam Area Permanent Salary 4000 to 6000 You will be working for a global leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification. The HSE Manager will be responsible for: -Acting as a contact person to external experts; -Researching, advising and reporting occupational hygiene and safety issues; -Carrying out occupational hygiene and safety projects; -Investigating, analyzing and reporting risks and incidents related to safety, health, welfare and environment; -Promoting awareness of safety, health, welfare and the environment; -Drawing up and implementing policy plans, annual plans, annual reports and OSH-related regulations, in accordance with the safety and environmental policy determined by the SGS Group and relevant Dutch and European legislation and standards, as well as monitoring implementation; -Initiating preventive measures and monitoring the implementation of preventive and corrective measures regarding OSH; -Holding or accompanying HSE inspections and audits -Contribute to projects in the field of sustainability and business continuity plans. The HSE Manager will have: -You are available full time; 32 hours is negotiable; -A completed training in Higher Safety / Occupational Hygiene; -A completed environmental science course is an advantage; -You have good knowledge of and experience with relevant laws and regulations; -You have sufficient knowledge of and experience with management systems (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001) -You have several years of relevant work experience in the HSE domain; -Work experience in laboratories and/or the (pharmaceutical, process or chemical) industry is an advantage; -You have good social and communication skills; -Excellent command of the Dutch and English language.
