About Paul

​Paul’s career has included working for WS Atkins in Construction Project Management roles before moving over to Associate Director to drive several transformation programmes from risk-based assurance to management systems projects on a global scale. He has also held the post of Head of Quality & Systems for Network Rail and acted as Interim Head of Quality for LUL Transport for London. Other work includes numerous Environment Agency projects and a Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing and Research project.

In 2022, Paul was appointed Quality Director at Shirley Parsons, expanding the capability of our Project Services business to provide expert quality and business assurance consultancy to our global client base.

A Chartered Quality Professional and Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute, he has over 20 years of international experience in delivering business assurance projects across a broad range of organisations in a mixture of roles and remains a valued contributor to the Chartered Quality Institute.

EHS Manager

$100k - 115k per year + 8% bonus & relo. asst.


A global industrial manufacturer is currently seeking an EHS Manager to lead all EHS functions at its facility in the Spartanburg, SC area.  The EHS Manager will be working directly with plant leadership to ensure the well-being of all employees at the manufacturing facility and will be responsible for updating and maintaining the site's EHS systems, programs, and culture.  The successful candidate will be expected serve as a communication link between management and employees by keeping all personnel informed of EHS related matters. The Role: Influences Plant, Production, Operations, Maintenance and site management to drive the EHS performance and results.Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests and submissions for the region.Monitors changes to all EHS regulations pertaining to their area and reviews recommendations for incorporation into EHS management systems and standards in a timely manner.Accountable for managing site EHS documentation to include program design, EHS data collection and posting, training documentation, and EHS KPI reports.Participates as a leader for audits and assigns EHS resources to audits in their area. The Candidate: 5+ years in EHS roles within a manufacturing setting.Strong knowledge of Machine Guarding & LOTO programs.Familiarity with SPCCC & Title V programs and permitting preferred.Experience with leading new facilities preferred.Leadership experience.Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, IH, Safety Sciences or related fields.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
