About Joanna

​Joanna has been working in finance since 1997, starting in public practice, studying her ACCA, and then moving on to being an in-house accountant.

For much of her career, she has specialised in providing accounting services for live events, festivals, and other live music industry related.

Joanna joined Shirley Parsons in 2017 as a Financial Controller primarily to focus on UK business development but has broadened the scope to enable the business to diversify value propositions, automate processes and centrally consolidate the financial reporting service.

As the Shirley Parsons Head of Finance, she has also been pivotal in our global expansion by leveraging the means to set up new businesses across Europe, Taiwan and new territories coming soon to the Shirley Parsons Group. She plays a key role in assisting the Shirley Parsons team in reaching new markets and supporting customers worldwide.

CSP Construction Safety Consultant

A leading specialty heavy-civil consulting firm is looking for a CSP-certified Construction Safety Manager to join its team in the Boston, MA area.  This person will be responsible for leading the corporate safety vision: through the development of strategy, identification of key metrics and mentorship of employees - ultimately cultivating an industry leading safety culture. This represents a fantastic opportunity, where you will be given the platform to flourish in the role! The Role: Take ownership over the development and implementation of new strategies and initiatives to continually improve the safety program & cultureCollect, analyze and report on safety metrics and KPIs at both a project and corporate level, identifying trends and utilizing results to manage, modify and deliver safety priorities across the businessAct as the figurehead for the safety program, working with all levels of staff, from site-based personnel through executive leadership and senior client contacts Work alongside industry regulatory bodies (OSHA) to ensure compliance to any and all relevant local, state or federal legislation The Candidate:  Proven leader with experience managing safety on large-scale heavy-civil construction projects (circa. 7+ yrs)Bachelor's DegreeCSPEffective communicator across all levels - with the capacity to communicate all corporate safety matters to internal and external stakeholders alikeAble to travel to all operational projects across the Boston area and other project locations (circa. 50%)

Principal Consultant - Climate & CarbonLondon Permanent £40,000 + £50,000  We are currently working with a leading Environmental Consultancy who have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant (grade subject to experience) to further strengthen the climate change capacity and expertise within the team.The Principal Consultant will be responsible for: Work with the Team's Director to provide project delivery of climate change assessments at a major project levelProvide technical expertise in one or more of the following fields: climate change mitigation analysis, whole life carbon assessment, circular economy, low carbon technologies and energy efficiency, climate change vulnerability and adaptation, greenhouse gas emissions inventories/analysis/modelling, carbon models/tools,Produce technical report for clients, including writing, checking and review of deliverables. The Principal Consultant will have: A passion for the environment and delivering proven sustainability outcomes.Educated to degree level in a relevant field with further degree or professional qualification advantageous.Specialism in one or more key climate change fields, and/or experience in consultancy for EIA or ESG.Experience of managing and taking responsibility for delivering successful projects of different sizes.
