HSE Manager Location: Rotterdam Area Permanent Salary 4000 to 6000 You will be working for a global leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification. The HSE Manager will be responsible for: -Acting as a contact person to external experts; -Researching, advising and reporting occupational hygiene and safety issues; -Carrying out occupational hygiene and safety projects; -Investigating, analyzing and reporting risks and incidents related to safety, health, welfare and environment; -Promoting awareness of safety, health, welfare and the environment; -Drawing up and implementing policy plans, annual plans, annual reports and OSH-related regulations, in accordance with the safety and environmental policy determined by the SGS Group and relevant Dutch and European legislation and standards, as well as monitoring implementation; -Initiating preventive measures and monitoring the implementation of preventive and corrective measures regarding OSH; -Holding or accompanying HSE inspections and audits -Contribute to projects in the field of sustainability and business continuity plans. The HSE Manager will have: -You are available full time; 32 hours is negotiable; -A completed training in Higher Safety / Occupational Hygiene; -A completed environmental science course is an advantage; -You have good knowledge of and experience with relevant laws and regulations; -You have sufficient knowledge of and experience with management systems (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001) -You have several years of relevant work experience in the HSE domain; -Work experience in laboratories and/or the (pharmaceutical, process or chemical) industry is an advantage; -You have good social and communication skills; -Excellent command of the Dutch and English language. The department covers all the essential EHS and Environmental programs. You will be working in a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company who is showing rapid growth and strives for constant innovation. Purpose of the role In this position, you will be reporting to the EHS Director, and as an EHS Specialist you will ensure compliance to external and internal EHS standards and guidelines. Moreover, you will be responsible as part of the site EHS team for maintaining & improving the EHS Management System and standards, and where applicable will support sharing of systems and tools across departmental boundaries and sites. Responsibilities - Implementing corporate EHS strategy at the site operations level - Leading Safety programs to continuously improve the EHS programs - Translating EHS legislation and corporate requirements of into practical programs and implementation plans - Executing projects and assigned tasks, like risk assessments, process hazard assessments, inspections and share best practices - Monitoring and improving EHS compliance within operational departments in cooperation with Compliance Engineers and taking action if required - Providing EHS input, guidance, and direction to the review of equipment modifications, new processes, and capital investments - Supporting annual EHS training plans and deliver EHS training by providing training content, train trainers and employees - Participating in incident and near miss investigations (root cause investigation), reporting in the Global EHS administrative systems, developing CAPAs where required and tracking actions until completion.
