About Georgie

My name is Georgie, and I am the Head of Search for Shirley Parsons Australia, focussing on recruiting professionals across Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality. This is a diverse role, seeing me support companies in both permanent and contract recruitment across Australia, New Zealand and APAC.

I have had a varied background here at Shirley Parsons, starting my career in the UK in 2016. I initially worked within the Environmental sector before moving my focus to Health and Safety Consultancy and Services and heading up my team and the wider Careers business. I have enjoyed building great relationships with my clients and building my Health and Safety knowledge. I used my time during multiple lockdowns to complete my NCRQ Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health and Safety. In 2023, I was given the exciting opportunity to join Shirley Parsons ANZ, heading up the Australian office.

Before joining Shirley Parsons, I spent my time travelling the world, completing a BSc in Television Technology and Production and living in Australia for two years. While the bright lights of Aylesbury kept me back in the UK for 7 years, the Sun, Sea and opportunity brought me back to wonderful Sydney.

I am a keen DIYer and bought a house two weeks before the first lockdown, so I had lots of time to practice my DIY skills, turning an 80s décor granny flat into my dream home. I enjoy singing and can be found belting out a musical theatre tune on a Monday night at choir, or whilst completing some DIY, or any other time of the day or night, especially in the Shirley Parsons offices!

EHS Manager

$90k - 120k per year + 10% bonus

A national food manufacturing organization is looking to appoint an EHS Manager to oversee their operations in the Minneapolis, MN area. Working alongside the site leadership team and in conjunction with the company EHS Director, the EHS Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs, fostering a healthy safety culture, and overseeing all training at the plant level. The incumbent will be tasked with conducting EHS audits and acting as the interface between local and federal agencies to ensure compliance with all regulations.The Role: Develop and implement EHS programs and procedures and maintain the EHS Management System.Assist with permitting, monitoring, and reporting in compliance with local and federal agencies.Recommend corrective/preventative measures where indicated.Work with Senior EHS Team, Plant Manager and other staff to promote a healthy and safe work environment. Project Safety Manager

Shirley parsons has partnered with a Civil Engineering company who is looking to improve their safety program and add an experienced safety professional. This Project Safety Manager role will be responsible for working with sub contractors and other employees on site to ensure all safety measures are being followed. The Role: Implement safety procedures and policies that line up with state, federal and company guidelines. Perform site safety audits as well as incident investigations and workers comp documentation. Track and lead all safety trainings of on-site employees. Stay up to date with all of OSHA's regulations and policies to ensure strong safety performance. Ability to promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site. The Candidate: At least 5 years of Safety experience.Heavy Civil and Electrical experience preferred. Highly motivated and team oriented mindset. Ability to problem solve and reinforce strong safety behaviors.Strong communication and Microsoft office skills.
