Having the best health & safety procedures and policies are useless unless your workforce is fully engaged with them. HSEQ professionals are not necessarily the most lucid communicators so gaining interest and engagement is often a challenge.
Karen Hewitt is an expert in building engagement in health, safety, and well-being. Her career working within employee communication and HSE for two large international companies, and most latterly as a specialist consultant, has given her excellent insight the subject.

She has written a book, called 'People Power: Transform your business in the era of safety and wellbeing', which includes input from 12 of the UK’s leading HSE Directors to provide senior leaders with a step-by-step approach to building engagement within their workforce.
During her webinar, she shared the background to her three step approach “Build, Buzz, Bake” and took questions from Shirley Parsons and the audience.
