Description
A global retail organisation with a significant presence in the UK and Europe is looking to appoint a proven H&S Manager. This growing organisation which is a state of the art operation in South Wales is looking for an individual, who can help them achieve their goal of being a world leader in Health & Safety performance.
The role:
• Leading H&S performance on site, which will include reviewing all KPI’s as well as driving initiatives in order to improve performance
• Review and develop a number of key programmes including risk assessments and audit processes
• Engage the workforce at all levels, ensuring that key stakeholders have the skills and resources needed to meet targets
• Ensure the site is kept abreast of any changes in legislation that could impact upon the business
• Lead the HSE committee and help develop others at a junior level within the H&S team
The candidate:
• Degree or post graduate level (BA, BSc, MSc) qualification or Diploma (NEBOSH or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety
• Chartered membership of IOSH is essential
• Industry experience in logistics, manufacturing or retail is preferred
