Shirley Parsons Associates is a specialist Health and Safety Recruitment agency. From a standing start in 2005 the company is now the largest privately owned specialist Health and Safety recruitment business in the UK. We would like to receive applications from exceptional calibre new graduates (2:1 or above) or bright individuals looking for a career change into a sales environment where teamwork is a core value.

We have opportunities for a candidate focused recruiter to work with an experienced consultant within the industry. Main duties include:


Candidate Management

• Calling newly registered candidates and job applicants
• Screening candidates to establish their requirements (salary, location, role etc) and provide report of general calibre and potential suitability.
• Searching against client job requirements to identify and contact suitable candidates using full ‘toolkit’ of resourcing techniques – database, job board, head-hunt etc
• Provide information to candidates on clients and job details
• Manage candidates (together with consultant) through each stage of the recruitment process.
• Providing candidates with timely and accurate information – interview details, job information, client feedback etc
• Candidate tracking – keep in regular contact with best candidates to build long-term sustainable relationships
• Candidate accessibility – build systems/list of easy to access, categorised ‘top candidates’ using excel/outlook
• Conduct regular face-to-face candidate screening interviews
• Write and Place advertisements for printed and web media


Other
• Update main database through addition of notes following updates from candidates; creating shortlists; logging of interviews/feedback/offers/starters.
• Meeting activity and £GP targets set with Divisional Business Manager
• Tracking own activity using weekly activity (WAR) template provided
• Any other duties as required

To apply you should be friendly and personable in nature and have an excellent telephone manner. You should be comfortable working to targets and be self-motivated with a hunger for success. Experience within recruitment or sales is advantageous although not essential as training will be given to the right individual.
