Description
Our client is seeking a Safety Manager from an industrial background for a senior role reporting into the director of this operational process site. This is a leadership position sitting on the senior leadership team and managing a team of five. A demonstrable leadership track record and well developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills are essential. The successful candidate will have a strong grasp of industrial hygiene with an appreciation of process safety. This role will include the application of behavioural safety so a background in this area is required. Candidates will have previously worked in a high hazard environment, possibly within heavy manufacturing or engineering. Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, safety rules and fire risk is advantageous. Candidates will be degree calibre with a minimum equivalent of the NEBOSH Diploma.
