Developing your Career with us:We are a career centric organisation and we strive to create the right environment for people to flourish. Our company growth is directly determined by the pace at which our people develop. We love growth and we love seeing how quickly people can develop their careers with us. In buoyant markets recruitment is one of the most dynamic, stimulating and fun environments to be in.
Our industry demands hard work so we aim to recruit people with lots of energy who enjoy a faster pace of life. Of course these attributes also need to be supported by a natural ability and desire to develop and succeed. The rewards for those who do well in this industry are immense. As well as generous packages in recruitment sales, people can also choose to pursue leadership and business management roles. For the entrepreneurially minded there is also the opportunity to gain sponsorship to run your own company.
All work and no play really is pretty dull so the sports, social and well-being side of our company is a really important part of why we all love working here. As well being able to win special rewards for being healthy, the company also provides subsidised gym membership, performance incentives and regular company sponsored events.
A career in recruitment. Most people join us straight from or within a year of leaving university with the intention of developing a career in recruitment, sales, leadership and management. Starting as a trainee Talent Broker, you will quickly gain the understanding and experience needed in order to succeed in the fast paced recruitment industry.
From the start you will be working closely with other people, communicating effectively and developing long term professional relationships. As your experience grows and you achieve success, you will gain responsibility for helping to develop the careers of other new graduates as well as your own. From here you can choose to remain in recruitment as a high earning top performer or you can opt for leadership, management or even entrepreneurial routes.
A career in business support. Whilst there are fewer opportunities in these areas (because the ratio of support to recruitment sales people is about 1:7) the challenges are still immense. Much of the responsibility for the smooth running of the company lies with people in Business Support. The smooth and timely running of regular tasks, events and programmes is underpinned by the need to continually discover new and better ways of delivering support services.
As we grow we will be recruiting graduates and top grade school leavers to develop their careers with us in the non finance business support functions. As a member of the business support team you will be involved in all functions of the business. This includes implementing improvement programmes in HR, Marketing, ICT, Sales Support and General Administration as well as ensuring that day to day service is excellent.
Graduate entry
Most of our staff join us directly from University. Sometimes though they will have gained a year or two’s experience elsewhere either as an undergrad, or sometimes with another career employer. The degree discipline is pretty immaterial. Whilst business type degrees are more usual, successful people have completed many different degrees including Music, Physiotherapy, Environmental Sciences and Criminology to name a few.
Upon joining there is a structured development programme combining full training and on the job practice, supported by guidance from your team leader and other recent graduates. You will develop personalised career and development plans and you will control the pace of advancement of each. The company has created the framework to ensure that the individual rather than the organisation is the limiting factor governing the pace of progress in these areas.
Vacation and gap year employment
Students can gain a wide range of experience in all aspects of the business from sales to business support. Whether or not you intend to join us after graduation, the experience gained in a fast moving environment will be a valuable part of your career development. You will experience responsibility, you will have to manage expectations and will see how it feels to have others rely upon you to deliver.
Experienced people
In house developed talent is great, but from time to time the company needs people with business experience to bring in fresh ideas and new approaches. Typically with those from outside of the recruitment industry, we are always happy to explore opportunities with talented people at any level who are attracted to our industry.
For all positions the company has a published career structure and all staff have individual development programmes to help them to fulfil their potential and achieve their ambitions.
As a rule we are always interested in exploring possibilities with people wanting to develop a career in the recruitment industry. If you envisage a career change at any time in the future and would like to find out more about how you can play a key part in our success, please get in touch.
